Can't enable replication across Hyper-V Servers?

Hi All

 

So I've been having some problems with the Hyper-V servers we have as some of you may know and I found that creating a new replication from Hyper V-B to Hyper V-A has done fixed my previous problem. I'm now running all Virtual servers on Hyper V-A without issue.

 

So I went back on Hyper V-B and manually deleted all the old servers VHDs etc and have also reformatted the physical drive that Hyper V was sitting on just to make it fresh again as for some reason everytime I browsed to the data drive i'd get a prompt saying the recycle bin on D: is corrupted would you like to empty it. I have created 2 folders one called vhds and another called vms and have pointed the preferences on HyperV Console to these folders. I then tried replicating back from Hyper V-A but when doing so it just gives me an error message saying "Hyper-V Failed to enable replication" no error message nothing that's all it says even in event viewer there's nothing to tell me any more information about why it can't do this.

 

Do any of you guys have any clues or what I can do?

theres not an underlying issue with the array that your attempting to copy to? (id check the disk & if it passes nuke the current partition)

i think if you have previously used it as a replica location it leaves machine ID folders behind which cause it to grumble
