Kyle Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 A member of SLT has handed me a DVD and he wants one of the vob files to be converted so it can be put on the web site. i have converted it to mp4 with a low quality version for dial up users and a high quality version for boradband users. I am not really interested in having the video play on the site so i intend to just put two links on the site for slow and fast conections. i just wondered how you would do this.? Is mp4 ok to convert the file to? Is this a good way to have the files to download? i am a Dreamweaver user but only really done standard plain sites and never had to do anyting with video.
GrumbleDook Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Have a look at this thread http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1734 taking into account warnings about copyright, concerns about bandwidth, etc .... Mpeg 4 is fine ... but be careful on the file size ... I tend to do things now purely for Quicktime ... and sod them if they can't be bothered to download the latest version (it is even linked on the page ... somewhere)
