Chuckster Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Since Friday the entire school has been experiencing this problem and I don't know what the root cause of the problem is. When you launch something like Device Manager, Disk Management etc I am presented with this and I can't get around it at all: Also, when users, including administrators, try to run a shortcut on their desktop or simply drag and drop a file/folder from one location to another, they get this: I have searched high and low for a solution. I've disabled UAC to the bare minimum, both in the control panel and in a GPO, to no avail. None of the GPOs had been edited or played around with for almost 6 months. I've rebuilt a workstation and the problem persists, which leads me to believe that it can't be a Windows update, as many of the workstations were rebuilt last summer. I am at my wits end with this... please help!
Chuckster Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 We are not using applocker, therefore the Application Identity Service (AppIDSvc) is permanently not running.
