clareq Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 The only posts I've seem about 1802 seem to indicate PXE errors. Has anyone any good experiences of 1802 before I take the leap?
Steve21 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 1802 since it was released as it fixes a bunch of bugs in the last release that were bugging me Apart from that no real difference unless you want the new fancy bits Steve 1
itwasntme Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Haven't had any PXE issues running 1802 here. 1
clareq Posted April 25, 2018 Author Posted April 25, 2018 I might take the leap over half term then. Thanks.
FN-GM Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Installed it this morning as OSD wasn't working. Fixed that and everything seems ok. 1
Fazza Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Just checked and we're on 1802 and all seems fine here. 1
Tefters Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 1802 as of yesterday, had to migrate my site database first due to SQL 2012 on 2008 R2, not SQL 2017 on 2016 and all working fine. Liking the new features! Client caching share for 1. 1
JCB Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 1802 seems OK to me - just replaced my site server and have been getting SCCM up and running on a new VM over the last couple of weeks. It was nice to install from fresh a shiny new version, and seems to be working fine (as opposed to last instance that had been upgraded and upgraded over the last several years). No major problems with PXE and OSD yet - just the usual two steps forward one step back until it's all going ok .
rheibel Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 1802 as of yesterday, had to migrate my site database first due to SQL 2012 on 2008 R2, not SQL 2017 on 2016 and all working fine. Don't suppose you mind sharing a link on how to do this we currently run SQL 2012 so before I start on a 1802 image for the summer i want to get any prerequisites sorted. its probably obvius on the technet site but a quick serch
Tefters Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Pretty straight forward but good old Anoop went through it all before I did so here's his guide, he grabbed the logons better than I would of so was a win!: https://www.anoopcnair.com/complete-guide-sccm-server-migration-part-1-sql-2017/
