Schedule Print Release

We use papercut and i need be able to schedule print release to happen in the evening , does anyone know of a way i can do it?

Do you mean like holding all jobs until the evening? Or just to release something like a schedule fire-roster etc?

 

You can run papercut commands via cli so you can do things like a schedule "bypass hold" etc and then a "enable hold" at certain times etc

yes thats it steve, i like to holding all jobs in the day and release in the evening?

do you wish to automatically release at a set time?

do you also wish to block release between a set time?

 

It sounds like what you want to do will be an inconvenience to users and cause traffic jams are printers in the evening. I would be tempted to try other options first. When people print they normally want the document there and then.

Its for convenience to users so we can print large jobs when the school is closed, this is a huge benefit to us thats why i want the queue to release at a certain time in the evening.

Just be mindful that it doesn't release a confidential document that hasn't been printed yet..

its more for the reproprahics technician to queue large print jobs, e.g exam papers..

 

so anyone have any ideas how i can do this?
