RemoteApps not working via Mac OS - Protocol Error

We have a Server 2016 RDS Server serving up various Remote Apps. Works fine for Windows and Android clients. Works fine for Macbooks in School but when users go home they cannot connect. All users that have Macbooks at home report the same error. They can authenticate to the server and see the list of Apps. When they try to run ,say, Word 2013 they get the following error;

 

 

Any ideas?

Not excalty a fix but we used to have similiar issues, we got the people who used Macs to download this from their app store: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id714464092?mt=8

 

It seemed to solve most of the issues that people were having, not saying it will work here but it's worth a shot.

That is the App our users are utilising and get the error message.
