Really impressed with this. Breeze to setup on Centos7 box.

 

A strong tool to have in the box for filtering ads and malware and flexible enough to add your own. Great for home and small sites because its free!

I agree. Pi-hole is awesome!

 

If you combine it with uBlock Origin you can also get rid of the space previously occupied by the adverts too.

 

 

Btw, if you don't use IPv6 add AAAA_QUERY_ANALYSIS=no to /etc/pihole/pihole-FTL.conf to get Pi-hole to ignore AAAA DNS records.

Samsung TVs are the worst (significantly more ad/tracking domains compared to other manufacturers)...

Thanks guys - I will play some more- currently running it at home on a Centos 7 VM - really impressed. I dont think it willwork so with apps as they use there own dns but its pretty dam good this.
