An opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our ICT Team. We are looking for someone who will be able to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of our school and who has excellent organisational and motivational skills.

 

Under the general supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Technician will install and support computers and network operations, provide hardware and software support, provide problem solving and training for end users and ensure systems’ efficiency and integrity. This post is for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm (3.30 Friday) with 20 days holiday + bank holidays. Salary in line with national minimum wage, age range dependant.

 

The vacancy will suit a person with an interest and 1st line experience in the ICT field. ICT is used extensively in supporting teaching and learning and therefore this position requires enthusiasm for ICT in every aspect of our school. This is an excellent opportunity to use varying technologies across multiple sites.

 

This role is suitable for individuals who possess good interpersonal skills, with good time management and have the ability to communicate effectively with all users on different levels. This individual must be willing to undertake further training and have a desire to learn and develop their skills further.

Duties to include:

 

Resolution of 1st line calls to the helpdesk

Install, maintain and upgrade ICT hardware and software

Undertake routine repairs of equipment

Management of workstations and associated devices including AV equipment and network printers.

Office 365 management

School website management via Wordpress

ICT inventory documentation
