As I understand it at ms are now (if I'm correct in saying) you can now migrate your db into Azure, my question is instead of going down the hosted route with capita, how could someone take advantage of having the sims db in an azure SQL instance,

You would need to check with capita, bit my guess is that they only support their own hosted version, anything else would be "none standard".
