Lecturn for Hall

A few threads on this in the past but not many recommendations.

 

We need a movable Lecturn for the main hall. It should contain a PC and monitor. I have looked at these https://www.top-tec.co.uk/Audio-Visual-Lecterns/MESSENGER-Range/ but there is nowhere to put a keyboard and mouse except the top. Previously we had a large Lecturn with a lockable door.

 

Any one have any recommendations?

We have exactly one of those currently but its showing its age and we want to go for something more modern.

Not got a local furniture company that will make a custom one ? We have a company that does a lot of bespoke stuff for us

Our tech technician built us one. We mounted a monitor under a clear plastic top and there’s a laptop on a shelf under it. Cost pennies to make and looks really good.

Same here. The infuriating thing is when he was building it he came to see us to borrow a laptop but didn't tell us why he wanted it. We gave him the first one that came to hand which was quite small. The two hall laptops that have gone into the lecturn since have been larger and a poor fit.

 

If we had known, we would have supplied a much larger laptop.

We use TopTec a lot. Not used that lectern in particular but have only good things to say about Explorers and Rubis, plus we have some Contours, Geminis and recently Juno units installed.

 

Bottom line is yes they're a bit more pricey, but they last. Really well. If the monitor is always going to be visible (Endo arm?) then why shouldn't the mouse and keyboard be there to?

Might go for a wireless or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse which can be taken away when not used.

Or use a touchscreen with on screen keyboard?
