Morning All,

I had reports of OWA going down during the half term. It is still down and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it!

I have restarted the server, no fix.

I can access OWA internally using the server IP but cannot access it using the internal or external URL! Outlook internally is working fine, we don't have any users connected through any other mail client externally. I haven't changed anything on the Exchange server for a long time.

Please help and thanks, TomHD

Souns like DNS - what if you ping the URL internally and externally, does it resolve to correct destination?

have you applied any windows update or exchange updates?

Check the bindings in IIS have the domain name in there

[EXTERNAL] 100% packet loss for the same domain!

Haven't done any updates since 02/01/2018.

Regarding site bindings: IIS Manager>MAIL-SERVER>Configuration Editor>system.applicationHost/sites>siteDefaults>binding>(Count=0)

Is this a problem?

Thanks, Tom

Packet loss externally will be due to firewall.

Jsut tried to access and see you get Http/1.1 Service Unavailable

so in IE on-site if you browse to http://mail.romanhill-pri.suffolk.sch.uk/owa you get the login page?

IE on site for http://mail.romanhill-pri.suffolk.sch.uk gives me the same Http/1.1 Service Unavailable that you get!?

I have always accessed OWA over HTTPS but have a certificate error.

The updates that were installed...

What version of exchange and what cumualtive update? Any chance you've installed the latest dot net, as I know thats only compatible with some updates. maybe uninstall the updates then reboot ?

Exchange 2010 on 2008R2

.Net version 4.5.50938

It's odd when I look at Windows Update it shows those 3 updates installed 02/01/18 but when I look at installed updates they don't show there!?

I didn't have any problems until Tuesday last week so I don't think these updates are the issue?

Thanks, Tom
