fiza Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Anyone know what the issue could be with a couple of Cisco SB SG500/SG300 switches which were rebooted recently but now I cannot get onto the Web GUI or ping them. I can use a console cable to connect and everything seems to be in order and the switches work as they should. There are 6 switches in total and all were rebooted. 2 came back as normal but 4 I cannot ping or get to via the web interface. 2 of the 4 are in a stack. Any ideas?
mikkydoos Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Are they picking up IPs from DHCP - e.g have they factory reset ? I've got a few SG200's that haven't retained their settings when rebooted in the past. Didn't notice until I came to do some config on them.

When I use the console to connect I can see that they have retained their configs. When I check other switches I can see them as neighbours so they have kept their IPs. Also the phones and PCs hanging off them also continue to work so all the VLAN info on the switches must be correct.
fiza Posted February 15, 2018 Author Posted February 15, 2018 ok figured it out. Seems the reboot made the management vlan default to 1. It should have been 3. Not sure why as the other switches retained their setting. Used the CLI to change it and now all is well again with the web interface.
