Can Microsoft Office 2004 or 2008 do this or is there some kind of 3rd party application to achieve this? Thank you Hi, Entourage will indeed do this- and there is a great site here that helps with the whole thing: Exchange Support The Entourage 2008 blog is very good for information too: The Entourage Help Blog HTH Paul 1
FN-GM Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 Wow fast responses Will that have all my folders & calendar i have in Outlook and OWA? Thank you
kingswood Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Wow fast responses Will that have all my folders & calendar i have in Outlook and OWA? Thank you Erm... I believe folders are one of the problems with Entourage right now, but that may have been fixed in one of the updates. Unless they are publically accessible folders that is Then there are tasks, notes, receipt features for emails, tasks, proper support for calendars. None of those I am afraid are anything like the experience you would get with Outlook or OWA. Of course I may have got some of those wrong, but the general thing is that Entourage still isn't quite "there" yet with equivalent support to Outlook itself for Exchange integration. Hope that helps! Paul 1
CyberNerd Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I found evolution for osx, which does exchange calenders. Downloads - Evolution Novell Documentation If you want a cross platform collaboration server then exchange isn't your best choice. MS and integration don't go hand in hand. 1
DMcCoy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Some things that you might like to know Entourage has broken ssl support, 2004 and 2008 on leopard. Entourage does not support client certificates DESPITE THE RESULTS GOOGLE RETURNS! 1

DMcCoy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I can't get on the site for some reason is Entourage free please? No, it's part of office for mac
FN-GM Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 oh right is it, well we are getting that so will give it a bash
DMcCoy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 The built in Mail app will work okay with exchange on 10.5 over imap (it has an exchange option so the special folders are using the correct names). That's only going to get you access to your mail though. 1
localzuk Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I use entourage 2008 with a secure OWA site and it works fine. You have access to all the usual features of OWA + shared calendars etc... The main downfall of it is that it doesn't support archiving like Outlook does. 1

I can't use it due to the client cert though :/
HodgeHi Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Don't you get Entourage on a disk with Exchange License Cds? I remember seeing it at my last place when we purchased Exchange. I don't think we would of purchased it as we had no macs there.
Lithium Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I think we've got an Entourage CD amongst 10'000 Exchange CD's... can't remember though. The default Mail app works pretty well, if not... and it does work with OSX 10.4.3 (or .4... haven't done it in ages).
localzuk Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 on 10.5? a fresh install of 10.5? There are a number of keychain issues with even 2008 atm. I can't use it due to the client cert though :/ Oh, it is an upgraded install of OS X. And an upgrade from Entourage 2004.
DMcCoy Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Oh, it is an upgraded install of OS X. And an upgrade from Entourage 2004. I only ask because upgrade keeps the old anchors keychain where as a new install doesn't have it
