PDF file issues

Hi All,

 

I have an issue opening some pdf files. It comes up with an error message: Adobe Reader could not open because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). This is a pdf file downloaded from the TES website. I am able to open it fine on another laptop without any problems.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I have tried repairing the software but still no luck. I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2018.009.20050. OS is windows 8.1 pro.

 

Any help or suggestions towards the right direction will be most appreciated.
