[Progresso] Please join my progresso mobile platform campaign!

Heavy with flu right now, so if this sounds more p*ssed off than usual - it is! I have just submitted this to progresso support. They'll probably dismiss it as a feature request, but maybe we can change their thinking. Here is my case note.

 

"We run termly reports and store PDFs for parents to view on the portal. We are talking hundreds of parents and we are a tiny school. The vast majority of parents access this via their iPhone or some other such expensive mobile device. As they end up in the mobile site, they can see no report and my inbox clutters at an alarming rate. Yes, we send very clear instructions - everytime! Yes, even when told they make the same mistake 3 months later! Please, please, could you ask your developers to switch of the automatic redirection off. For those that really want to go to mobile site, they can type 'mobile.progresso.net'."

 

If you suffer this, perhaps you'd like to log too to add some weight to the cause. Cheers muchly.

should just be an app really though shouldnt it. Users expect push info and been that way for several years. Even SIMS have got one now, if your behind them in your development you know your struggling . . .

 

I'd be pushing them to properly resolve it rather than stick a band aid on a gushing wound.

Possibly but even on my ancient 3G Moto G phone, it's perfectly workable on the main (desktop) site. Viewing A4 PDFs on screens this size isn't my thing, but all our iPhone 6 and iPhone X parents seem determined to do it that way.
