1^st/2^nd Line ICT Technician – East London – 3 months initially

Salary Negotiable dependent on experience

Our client, a large Academy in East London, are currently looking for an ICT Technician to join their existing team on a contract basis starting January 2018. The postholder will assist the acting Network Manager in providing a quality ICT service to the staff and students at the college.

 

Responsibilities;

 

· Install and test new software, hardware troubleshooting

· Set up and maintain user email accounts, windows login accounts

· Maintenance of peripheral equipment (scanners, printers, smartboards)

· Supporting the acting Network Manager in offering training to staff

· Ensuring network security and virus free systems are maintained and monitored

· Keeping a log of all technical faults

· Liaising with 3^rd party suppliers and support companies

 

Requirements;

 

· A sound knowledge of ICT hardware, software, systems and packages.

· Windows desktop, win 10, office 2016, whiteboards, projectors, cabling

· A working knowledge of data protection legislation

· Ability to keep ahead of new developments in hardware and software

· Able to communicate effectively at different levels throughout the college

· Previously worked in an similar position within the Education Sector.

· A clean, enhanced DBS, preferably on the update service.
