We are currently about to start piloting Windows 10 on our network, we just have a few things to so out regarding profiles.

On our current Win7 network staff have roaming profiles which we are moving away from in Windows 10 just to redirected folders.

I have heard UE-V mentioned a few times as a replacement so that users can still personalise things a little more, does anyone have any positive/negative experience with this? Are you using it? Is it worth it? Etc...

I haven't done too much research at this point, but to me it looks like a replacement to roaming profiles and the last thing we want is to have as many problems with UE-V as we do with roaming profiles (slow logins, profiles resets regularly etc).

Thanks.

For us, UE-V has been a godsend. Roaming profiles broke for us when we moved to 10 and UE-V coupled with folder redirection just works without any issues. Even before 10, we'd be resetting a handful of roaming profiles a day, but with UE-V that's down to one or two per half term. Just be sure to set up your profile store before you start, and make sure to edit them to remove any dross, and occasionally add some folders manually to the template (I'm looking at you, Adobe!)
