Not sure which one you mean by "the first one" but super is completely free (rubbish web site but the software is free!)

 

It allows you to queue a whole batch of files and convert them sequentially - so one at a time but you don't have to sit around and wait.

 

Super simply provides a GUI to other tools; what I did to convert MPEG2 for my MSI pocket TV was to get super running and then use Sysinternals process explorer to tell me the command line it was passing to ffmpeg - I then just wrote a script to convert all files in a particular folder; this would allow you to spawn more than one instance of ffmpeg at the same time.
