mikkydoos Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Hi all, We have changes to our personnel structure whereby maintaining SIMS.net pupil data is being split across multiple people over multiple shifts. Anticipation is staff mis-communicating data getting mis-entered or missed completely. Does anyone know of a stock report or module to run that will interrogate the database and search for missing data ? This is to save mass panic when it comes to census time. Cheers in advance
synaesthesia Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Interested in this, although ideally it'd need to refer to something with solid correct information. I was going to half joke some sort of psuedocode like if (mis=sims) and (user=human) then integrity=false
CAM Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 The report is the census module itself. It proves to be a handy termly clean-up of student data as I work through the errors. You can also do Address Tidy and Merge in the routines module in anticipation of some fixes. Otherwise you could write a report to look for missing language, ethnicity, etc.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 From within SIMS, you can also run 'Tools | System Diagnostics | Database Diagnostics', If you've had all the patches to enable all checks then it can pick up some interesting data integrity issues, even where there is only 1 person doing all the data entry. 1
