eean Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 SIMS users in and around Asia* might be interested in a SIMS event running at Dulwich College (Singapore), 5th to 7th February 2018. The South-East Asian SIMS Conference (SEASIMS) is an annual event, catering for those schools who already use SIMS or for those who are considering the product. The conference is both informative and hands-on; sessions are led by Capita, expert users and SIMS technical partners. The key focus for this year’s conference will be the next generation of SIMS - SIMS in the Cloud. /B] Click here for details. SEASIMS are entirely not-profit-making group, consisting of users who simply want to support other users. The cost of the conference will cover conference expenses. Thank you to Edugeek for allowing us to post this. * Any school who has a CPD budget to pay for flights to Singapore are most welcome! 1
vikpaw Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 If I could, I would go for the networking. I can't believe Capita won't fund this though, and that you need sponsors. EDIT: All I can say is that it's definitely worth attending these events, there is so much to learn from your peer schools.

VikPaw - I've seen you do give out so much valuable SIMS help on EduGeek over the years. Come over! It would be great to meet you in the flesh. Capita do support the event. They send over several members of their team to run training and they also sponsor the evening events. The companies who attend also contribute and attendees are interested to learn about the products they offer. Often, they are existing customers and it is great to connect to the person on the other end of the phone. All the companies who attend have to pay for their flights and hotels - which adds up! It's very much a 'community run' event and we're grateful to all our supporters. 1
