SIMS and Data Manager – Colchester *URGENT*

Up to £30,000 (local Gov. pension, 25 days hols + bank hols, on-site parking)

Our client, a large mixed secondary school in West Essex, are currently looking for a SIMS and Data Manager to provide support and advice to ensure the student data held within the college is appropriate, accurate, up-to-date and available to relevant staff.

 

The postholder will be responsible for all aspects of the school MIS, including management and coordination of all aspects of assessment data, ensuring accurate and time effective production of student academic reports, timetabling alongside the assistant principal, managing and coordinating all aspects of Cover throughout the school, as well as overseeing the usage of SIMS.

 

Other daily responsibilities will include running end processes, performing regular data housekeeping, developing protocols for use of modules, undertaking statutory returns, assisting with checking exercises and designing SIMS reports.

 

Requirements :

 

· Previously worked in the Education Sector within a relevant senior Data position.

· A clear understanding of school data systems, school policies and procedures.

· Experience of SIMS including Assessment Manager, Nova T6 and Cover.

· Experience of SISRA, Access, Desktop Publishing, Excel and Word.

· Ability to manage and support the work of others.

· Ability to exchange complex and sensitive information clearly.
