tj2419 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 We are trialing gsuite and Chromebooks with our staff to see if we want to 'Go Google'. I wondered if anyone has been down this path if you had any advice to share? Any tips on what to introduce first? Any documents you used for your roleout etc What features were big winners with staff. Thanks
j224 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Automatic saving was a big winner with staff and students. Having files accessible in Drive from home is also useful. Real-time collaboration on files and knowing you have the latest version of the file rather than having to re-save and email documents constantly. The Chromebooks we have were much cheaper to buy than laptops and so much quicker to startup than our old Windows ones. We started off using GSuite about 4 years ago and initially just used Gmail (for staff). From there we started to use the rest of the suite with staff (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms) and shortly after introduced the pupils to it. The Chromebooks a couple of years ago was the next logical step.
