SIMS - Cover Diary - Publish to HTML / Email Staff

Hi all

 

We are now using SIMS cover, working well, but I've had two requests from above.

 

1. Can the staff that have been chosen to cover a lesson, be emailed a summary automatically from SIMS Cover Diary.

2. Publishing to HTML, can the reason column be removed, as the details listed are in my opinion confidential.

To hide the reasons you can go to Tools - Cover - Global Settings - untick "Include Reason for Assignement" under item 3 Location Path.

Thanks for that answer, spot on.

 

Do you know if there is away of altering the view of certain absences within the Cover Diary, ie such as teachers on long term absence for example maternity/paternity not showing, as their lessons have already been timetabled to another member of staff.

If you've re timetabled their lessons onto another member of staff it's no longer cover. Hence you can't see it through cover.

 

Staff absence can be reported on by itself, but not in the context of cover. Not all absences generate cover.
