Help wanted from SIMS reporting guru.

One of our Heads of House would like a report listing the count of each behaviour type by tutor group, i.e. Tutor Group A: 3 forgotten planners, 2 rude to staff, 4 missed detentions; Tutor Group B: 2 forgotten planners, 1 rude to staff, 5 late to lesson. And so forth. I can see how to get the tally of each behaviour type, and the total number of behaviours per tutor group, but not the number of each type per tutor group. Does anyone know how to produce this, with the smallest amount of post-report crunching in Excel possible? If there is lots of Excel-based crunching needed, it would probably be easier to give someone a list of the behaviour incidents and a calculator.

Thanks!

You have two possible options to try. Use the Analysis output within the report design and once the report is generated you can select various row and column combinations to hopefully provide what is required (this can then be exported to Excel once you are happy with it). A more complex solution would be to use an excel template that uses Macros to automatically output the data into a pivot table and can be configured accordingly so it will give you the desired report. It may be worth trying the Analysis output option first and if that doesn't work an Excel template would definitely work for you in this instance.
