I'm wondering if there is a way in which you can extract a full list of all the reports that people have generated within SIMS over the years that all users can see?

If you go to reports - run report - focus you have a full list of all the reports made under the various topics e.g. Students, or contacts etc.

Secondly is there a way to extract a list of all the reports individuals have generated for themselves only that only they can see?

Cheers

This is a good starting point. You can drop the results into a text file on the sql server.

SELECT Left(report_name, 40), Left(report_description, 40), Left(last_updated, 12) FROM sims.sims.rpt_report_summary order by last_updated DESC

It looks like this, but you can add other fields from the table to it.

Asked SIMS for the DBDiag script and they said it doesnt exist, and what i want isnt possible but I should put it forward for a change request as other schools may find it useful.

Do you have a copy of the script @matt40k ?

Is that output you have @Banjo via the script mentioned?

Yes, you can pull other fields from the table, but those are the most useful.

I think using the SalamanderSoft tool would be better - it means you don't have to ask Capita to go digging out a old dbdiag script and you're not bypassing the SIMS permissions by running SQL directly...
