Network Manager – South West London (January 2018 Start)

£40,000 - £50,000 + free school lunches, pension and use of gym etc.

Our client, a prestigious Independent School in South West London, are looking for an experienced Network Manager to join their team from January 2018.

The postholder will play a crucial role in the delivery of the schools ICT systems and implementation of the school's ICT strategy and vision.

 

As the Network Manager, you will be responsible for the schools ICT hardware, software and network infrastructure including the management and control of all technical aspects for installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and development.

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

· Development and operation of system to monitor the school systems, effective disaster recover strategy and security strategy to ensure protection of the network.

· Respond to system outages in a timely manner, minimising downtime by carrying out of hours maintenance via remote connection.

· Responsible for ICT support budget ensuring best value for money for ICT spend.

· Carry out training for staff and pupils on a regular basis, as well as line management of the IT Support team including annual reviews.

· Work with the IT Director to provide advice and direction for the IT Strategy for the school including the implementation of ICT resources, policies and procedures.

· Ensure equipment complies with safety standards, responsible for site surveys/risk assessments.

 

Requirements :

 

· Maintenance and upgrades of school MIS System (preferably iSAMS)

· Windows Server 2016

· Cisco switches, firewalls, Ruckus WiFi, BYOD Network

· AD, DHCP, DNS, subnets, VPNs

· Wired/wireless network devices, anti-virus software

· G-Suite email and apps, single sign-on platform
