Disabling Office 365 / Outlook 2016 email notifications

Hi,

What is the recommended method for disabling email pop-up notifications appearing when logged into Outlook 2016 or Office 365? Sometimes teachers find it awkward when something confidential appears on a projector screen in front of an entire class.

Should you need it, the registry setting to enable "Hide notifications when I'm duplicating my screen" (a.k.a. "Hide notifications while presenting" in older versions of Windows 10) is:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings]
"NOC_GLOBAL_SETTING_SUPRESS_TOASTS_WHILE_DUPLICATING"=dword:00000001

The group policy path to the "Do not display New Mail alert for users" setting is...

User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Outlook 2016 \ Outlook Options \ Preferences \ E-mail Options \ Advanced E-mail Options \ Desktop Alert

This will disable the alert pictured below...
