Edge vs Chrome

We've been testing/ using Windows 10 now for a prolonged period, yet I still find myself in a love hate relationship for Edge... As much as I like Windows 10, one if it's big downfalls is the browser.

 

Can I have a show of hands for those shunning Edge for Chrome, Firefox and those still using IE?

Shunner here. Across our whole estate. Edge still available just incase but there again so is IE

Changed to Chrome as the default browser 2 years ago and use PDQ to keep it constantly updated.

 

Just so much faster than anything else and with the GPO support easily managed.

PS - in wrestling terms though Edge would have speared Kid Chrome in about 10 seconds for the win....

Since Edge is more integrated with the system, it's great for slow PC's - I'm using it on my Intel Compute Stick with a slow Atom processor. Other browsers Chrome/Firefox have some issues on this device - facebook hangs up very often, even the 720p youtube videos are choppy. On Edge FB runs like a charm and I can even watch 1080p/60FPS videos without a problem

my biggest problem with edge (and other "modern apps") is that if your printer/copier has codes on them and people print from edge you are probably going to be in a world of hurt. It cant/dosent display prompts for codes sends the print job and quite often borks the entire print queue to the point you have to set the printer to work offline restart the spooler service and delete all offending print jobs

We decided on Edge as our default browser across campus (for staff and academic labs). Firefox is installed as backup. Since the beginning of this year we really haven't encountered any issues and it is far better than the default browser it replaced (IE11). I actually use Edge for everything at work (and home) and have found no need to install chrome anymore.

All my schools are Chrome, but then we also use Google Apps so it probably makes sense.

The printer issue is a real pig.
