mikeprice Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Hi all One of our staff memeber has a husband who is deaf and has a 'Loop' system to be able to hear the TV they used to have Sky and it worked fine - but they have just changed to BT and the engineer who came out couldn't work out how to connect the new BT system to the 'Loop' system - so she has asked if I can help It sounds as if the old Sky system had a Scart socket which connect to the 'Loop' system's USB input - nothing simple like standard audio input Has anyone had any experience with these things?? I have a Scart to usb thingy at home that I use to convert videos to digital so I am thinking of trying that - but it seems overkill - and anyway it would need to talk correctly to the 'driver' things inside the 'Loop' system - I am assuming (possibly incorrectly) that the 'Loop' system uses the USB input like a simple sound card any ideas thanks Mike
SamanthaD Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 If you post the model of the loop amp we might be able to work something out for you?
mikeprice Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Thanks I have asked her for more images of both boxes - hopefully that will give me a clue - or I'll be able to get model/make off the image but that will have to wait until tomorrow now - will post back then!
