Is anyone using Defender as a main side AV?

Good morning,

I use a paid for AV and earlier in the year we had a nasty outbreak which caused a real headache for us. As my AV didn't seem to know what was going on so I bought a site licence of Malwarebytes which now sits alongside the AV (and cured my issue in an afternoon). I keep wondering if Malwarebytes alongside Windows Defender would be a fine solution. My AV is well respected however I find it a pig to manage and appears to cause endless slowdown on staff laptops where my home experience of Defender is positive.

I'm aware Defender does not come out all that high which is why I would keep Malwarebytes (very impressed with that) however I like it's lightweight approach.

 

Looking for opinions from those who are using Defender on site. Personally I think it will be fine as long as MWB stays.

I use SRP to block any code that I didn't install, and Defender on Windows 10, with Sophos if it manages to install.

It does if you use SCCM.

thanks for feedback so far. So people are using it then? I have been reading up on it and seems to be fine as long as you have a software policy or sister software in place.
