change default e-mail address

We use 365 for our mail, and want to change the default e-mail suffix. Currently we have [email protected] as default and [email protected] as a secondary account - I did this by running

set-ADUser -identity  -add @{'proxyAddresses'='smtp:@','SMTP:@

 

Now I want to swap, so newsuffix is the primary, but

set-ADUser -identity @','SMTP:@'}

isn't working

 

What am I doing wrong?

Try removing the old address and adding it back after the new one.

Got it - I needed to use -replace, not -add
