Windows 10 Custom Image on Bootcamp (DualBoot Mac)

After completing my final PC image for the HPZ440 (thanks to you guyshttp://awscdn.cdngeek.com/images/icons/icon6.png?v=423b4-2804c), I was assigned the task to apply the custom image I just created into a DualBoot environment for our 5k iMac's and MacPros (Trashcans).

 

Now, I don't want to re-design the Windows 10 Image and restart all over again (That would be one major headache http://awscdn.cdngeek.com/images/icons/icon8.png?v=423b4-2804c). Is there a way I can implement my Windows 10 EDU Custom Image that I created for the HPZ440

(includes all required software, apps, licenses, modified desktop, start menu, scripts, etc) into the BootCamp Partition of our Mac environment?

 

Please Note: I created the Windows 10 EDU custom Image using a VM, so it does not depend on any drivers. Drivers were applied during the imaging process using MDT. I don't think this image would

affect the MAC's in anyway; making it possible to be deployed into the Bootcamp partition. The only thing is how can I get it installed? and if so, can I capture it using Deploy Studio and then deploy to other Macs?

Assuming you have created your bootcamp partition...

 

1. Sysprep source PC

2. Boot into your source PC with gandolfs windows PE loaded in a usb stick and use gimagex to capture a wim file.

3. Boot using gandolfs windows PE stick again onto a imac and restore wim file to the bootcamp partition.

4. Boot imac into new windows install and load the bootcamp drivers.

5. Sysprep again and lift an image using a workflow on deploystudio.

To Verify your steps provided...

 

On Windows:

Since I have my Custom.wim save on my DeploymentShareVolume; I would re-image the reference PC (which would be a VM) using my custom.wim -> Run Sysprep -> Audit mode -> Select OOBE -> Shutdown/Restart->Boot to Gandolfs Win PE USB -> and Capture using Gimagex.

 

On MAC:

Boot off Gandolfs Win PE USB -> Restore wim to the Bootcamp Partition (Is there an app within Gandolfs Win PE USB that does this? What should I use?) -> Boot to Windows -> Install the correct Bootcamp Drivers -> Run Sysprep -> Audit mode -> Select OOBE -> Shutdown/Restart-> boot to DeployStudio-> and Capture.

Yep you got it, use gimagex on the win pe to do the capturing and restoring. You can map a network drive in PE before you use gimagex if you need somewhere to store your image.

Direct Booting from an External Drive is not possible in VirtualBox (What I am using) because it requires USB support on its Bios, which it does not have :\

 

I won't be able to boot off Gandolfs Win PE USB that I have created to capture the image

 

Any other suggestions? What VM have you used that is capable of allowing to boot off a Bootable USB Drive?

Sorry I don't use VM's I always use spare PC's to create my images. Maybe someone else can advise? or can you get your image transferred to a spare PC?
