flashsnaps Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Morning all, Promissor Administrator issue We've installed it on some stand-alone laptops, we install it - it normally runs first time. Then we're restart the machine or go to it again, and it will come up with this error "The current amount of disk space on the drive where registration and test information is stored is less than 50MB. Testing may continue, however if the amount drops below 5MB, new testing sessions will not be allowed to start and existing sessions will terminate if the available space drops to 0" I click ok then I get "Invalid data path specified" Anyone got any ideas? cheers

I think folks need to be able to write to a certain location.
flashsnaps Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 I have full permissions though as I am the administator of the machine I am installing it on.
mrtechsystems Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Do not want to sounds silly but is the drive mapped :-)
googlemad Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Have you got the Promissor data directory on a server? If so you need a matching Windows login on the server and the client machine, well we did anyway. So now the candidates use one login to sit the test. When you get the disk space message again, try connecting to your Promissor server using Run or My Network Places and see if you get prompted for a username and password...
flashsnaps Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 Do not want to sounds silly but is the drive mapped :-) Opps! Working fine now! Cheers everyone! Have a good day!
srochford Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 The other thing to watch out for is quotas - I think that message might have got added because we had problems with students running out of disc space (because of quotas) during the test and the promissor software falling over in a heap :-)
