coreykeeling Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Evening, I am looking to do my Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate qualification and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for providers? I am looking to do it long distance as work is unlikely to give me the time off to go to a class and hoping they will fund it but have to get some quotes to them. Cheers Corey
rrrrr Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Best thing to do is look at online training videos that go through the syllabus (eg cbtnuggets or similar) then just do some practice exams before taking. Usually Microsoft do regular offers of free second attempt if fail. Something to look out for. Dont waste a ton of money on those training providers. Just a heads up, Microsoft look like they are moving to a new recertification model, moving from every 3yrs to annually. Might make you rethink the worth of the cert
hardtailstar Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Buy the books. You get practice exam software with them. Self study at home as it works out much cheaper. Youtube is a big help too. Also use the Edugeek search function and type in 'Free ebook'. Lots of threads for free ebooks that will help. Also sign up to Microsoft Virtual Academy. Lots of helpful info there and its all free!
lmrogers Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Might be worth seeing if you can get them to buy you a subscription to Plurasight. I've got one and its pretty good and covers so much. https://www.pluralsight.com
