Kaizena and Google Classroom

Hi All,

 

Does anybody use Kaizena and link it to Google Classroom for teachers to be able to leave audio feedback? I am concerned about data protection especially with GDPR, any advice would be great.

Hi @BFCIT. Did you find out any more about this?

 

My kids have just been asked to sign up by their school. They're not required to give any personal information at sign up - just school email and create a password.

 

Therefore seems fairly innocuous, but it's be interested in more information about what days they hold and where it's stored.

I received the following response from Kaizena when I asked them about the GDPR compliance. This was from August 2017 so they may be working towards compliance now I am not too sure. However I denied the request for the teacher as I wasn't confident based on the response from Kaizena.

The company and our servers are actually located in the USA, so I'm afraid we aren't familiar with the details of data protection regulation in England. However, if you have any specific questions that aren't covered in our privacy policy, just let me know!

Want to bump this thread and ask again if anyone is using this service in the UK and whether it is GDPR compliant?

 

IF you are using it, does it work well? Is it completely free or is there a cost?
