Ipads and Active Directory - Google Drive?

We have a fleet of ipads here and the children use them for all sorts of lessons just taking them and putting them back. I want to ensure that there is a way that children can move files between the ipads and their user area with as little fuss as possible. The staff here use Gmail as part of Gsuite for Education. Has anyone else successfully integrated Google drive in AD and got it to work well on the ipads so students can sync their work?

Alternatively is there any other solution that people use that's good for linking iPad files to AD user areas?

If you want to connect iPads to AD shares be they on Google Drive, One Drive or your own AD server I would suggest Foldr.
