Office 2016 - Templates lose BG colour

Hi,

 

I'm creating some templates to share with staff (made available through their mandatory profile in '\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates')

 

Font/font size settings are fine but when a user opens the template the background colour that I set is not visible - template appears to have a white background instead.

 

I'm sure this is something simple...

More info :

I create a Word 2016 Template & go to Design / Page Colour and set the background colour (light blue for example).

I set font / font size

Save in the mandatory profile

 

I login as a user, open Word / Shared Docs and select the template. Fonts settings are as set, BG colour is now white.

 

If I go to Design / Page Colour to check what the BG colour should be ... it's set correctly (light blue)!!!
