We must be missing something obvious here...

Having sent over the new timetable from T6 - we can generate timetables for staff next year, all look OK - however we can't make timetables for year groups - screen is just blank (not an "empty" timetable, rather it won't generate anything at all)

Also, there are no courses in course manager (except bizarrely for our LUNCH block and 1 GCSE Latin course)

In addition there is nothing in cover for next year - no rooms, staff, nothing.

I imagine we've forgotten to do something - however I've applied the timetable, having set up the new academic year and ran the promotion - so I'm not sure what we've missed - assuming it's a T6 thing!?

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers,

T

PS I have logged a ticket with Capita but thought while I wait, I'd see if there was someone who might be able to help in the meantime!

I think you will have to set up your courses for the new spec stuff - I'm waiting for my replacement to come in so I can show her how to do it, but I know when I submit the timetable it tells me loads of new spec courses aren't there.

I have to create every single course? Even KS2/KS3 courses? Doesn't seem right - feels like the courses themselves aren't transferring over perhaps? Or linking to the existing courses?

OK so it seems the timetable wasn't applying - which has resolved the cover/year timetable issue - but still no courses - despite updating course memberships :/

Applied Timetable - resolved nothing showing in cover/year timetables

Courses do not appear in course manager until they have members - as soon as I add members, the courses appear!

Haha! Yes this is an absolute pain and I was racking my head to try remember how to fix it whilst reading your post. My first yearly transition had me sitting on my own in the middle of summer in a near panic wondering why everything had vanished.

Seems odd that a course should disappear when it has no members!! Bit of a bug if you ask me!

Cheers anyway, all! Panic over :)

It's "intended" behaviour. If the course has no members it gets marked as inactive. Once someone gets added it becomes active again. As an extra gotcha, some course memberships won't appear if they are out of the date range set when searching for courses in Course Manager (Census View, Current School Year, etc).
