Recommended suppliers for chromebooks/boxes and management licences

We are looking to start implementing Google Chromebooks and Chrome boxes this year and I wanted to know if anyone has a recommended supplier for the equipment? Best place/price to buy the devices and the management licences.

We buy most of our ones from either C-Learning or Getech. XMA also do their own devices. All do management licences. The headline for management licences is £19 - but you should be able to go few pounds lower.

Out of curiosity do you have any Chromeboxes in mind please?

The Website People did a great job with our, Licence and everything. License Came in at around £19 and our HP 11 inch at around £220 Each, https://thewebsite-people.co.uk/services/g-suite-services/

We Gave them Super Admin Access to our G-Suite and everything was set up they shipped the Chromebooks to us Ready to go!

We wound up buying our Chromebooks and management licenses from VeryPC. For Chromeboxes, you could consider using existing devices and installing Neverware Cloudready on them - it's probably not worth buying second-hand devices to install Cloudready on, as you might as well spend the money on new devices, but if you already have a set of devices it might be a good option. The only limitation is that you won't be able to run Android apps on the Neverware devices. Actually, it's generally easier to put more RAM and/or disk space into an existing device than you get from a typical new, dedicated ChromeOS device, which might be an advantage in some circumstances.

Always been happy with the service offered by Getech but I have found all suppliers struggling with stock of Chromeboxes rather than Chromebooks - might just have been unlucky that when I was after them everyone was low on stock but it did seem a bit odd!

I am also struggling to find Chromeboxes. They didn't seem as popular a few years ago, but I am find more and more people want them now. Both HP & Dell have discontinued them.

The problem with that model you are only guaranteed updates until August 2020

Interestingly Samsung's Series 5 and Acer's AC700 Chromebooks went EOL in June 2016 and August 2016 respectively, but despite this have continued to receive updates until Chrome OS 58 is released for them within the next month or so.

 

Perhaps Google will take the same approach with other devices?

I wonder if you could load Neverware CloudReady on those Samsungs to get more life?

We use CDWG for all our Chromebook purchases, including licenses. I have not had better serve or prices from anyone. We just made the move to become a 1-1 Chromebook district and their price for the 2500 that we need to complete our number was AMAZING!
