Slideshow with narrative?

I used to use PhotoStory 3 to create slideshows with a voice talking about each picture in turn. The narrative was pre-recorded and then chopped up to attach to each pic - so all the audio is different lengths. The slideshow could then be exported as a video file.

 

Now PhotoStory is old old old - can anyone recommend a (preferably) free product that gives a similar output?

Thanks - but that's another "almost dead" product - and fiddly to do what I want. Thanks anyway
