Anyone use G Suite to mass mail parents?

Have any of you created parental mailing lists in G Suite so that teachers can mass email out to parents? Or do you use 3rd party products like RSConnectEd?

We do. We have a group hierarchy so can email all parents or sub-levels like year groups or reg groups. General works well, but I feel we are under utilising the 'Group Forum' side f things. The only real nuisance is it's maintained in near parallel with our MIS. We can email via MIS, but don't as rule. As an aside, we also use the groups to control access to a 'parent secure area' on the school website.

We just use Mailchimp, even though we could use G Suite or our MIS. Mailchimp just seems easier and better (and still free).
