Apple Configurator 2 disable reset option on iPads

Hello,

I know there's a way to do it, but I can't find the way, I know it works with Meraki MDM, so should allow the setting on Apple Configurator 2...

Basically, I need to be able to stop the students from going on the iPad settings, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and clicking reset all settings, as this literally wipes the iPad, and forgets all the wifi settings etc.

I've done it with Meraki before, but need to move away from that, and use either Apple Configurator 2, or Profile Manager via Apple Server app.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello,

That's set, but it's still allowing the users to reset settings, which then clears the wifi password, and I don't really want one student doing that, and then it goes round all the iPads.

Thanks,

Have you configured the iPads to be supervised? This locks down more of the settings. I had the same problem at first. i had to reset them all in apple configurator and prepare them as Supervised.

Hi, the option is only available to supervised devices that have been enrolled during the set up, Ensure through the server in put section of organisation is preferences you've pasted the link to add new device. If you've enrolled the iPads via the QR option after set up it won't work. You'll need to wipe the iPads and start again for Meraki full features to be enabled.

Hope this helps.
