This new post offers an exciting opportunity to join Digital Campus Services at the Arts University Bournemouth, one of the best specialist creative arts universities in the UK.

 

The Service Desk Technician will work closely with the Service Desk Team in the delivery of a proactive and reactive Service Desk provision for students and staff. You will have an established knowledge of working under Service Desk processes and procedures in pursuit of delivering excellent customer service and supporting high quality digital resources and services as required by our strategic plans.

 

You will have a good technical understanding of ICT infrastructure that incorporates Windows and Apple resources, mobile devices and online systems, and may have a good knowledge of ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD) initiatives. The role will also require you to have an operational knowledge of Audio Visual resources.

 

You must be able to communicate at various levels and offer excellent customer service skills in a busy and active environment. A Service Desk system is used to maintain calls and monitor assets, good Microsoft Office and data entry skills are required to ensure integrity of data. The post is expected to be flexible in working hours with the growing demand of students and staff requiring 8:00am to 7:00pm and sometimes weekend cover.
