Systems Developer (iSAMS, VBA, SQL, SSRS, .net) - Hertfordshire * URGENT *

£30,000 - £37,000 depending on experience – Permanent, Full Time

My client, a prestigious Independent school in Hertfordshire are looking for an experienced Systems Developer to support and assist in the development and maintenance of MIS, biometrics, web portals and related systems.

 

As the Systems Developer, your duties will include :

 

• Working with the Information Services Team to support and develop the in-house systems
  
• Developing new applications.
  
• Maintaining existing information systems.
  
• Ensuring data security and compliance of all developed systems.
  
• Ensuring new innovations are backwards compatible with existing school solutions.
  
• Working alongside the Systems Development Manager on larger scale projects and
  
• You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle or motorbike
  

 

Experience required :

 

• Experience of programming in .NET based web development.
  
• Demonstrable experience with industry level SQL database systems (MSSQL, MySQL).
  
• Advanced knowledge of Word/Excel including mail merging, formulae and column sorting.
  
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  
• Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  

 

Desirable experience :

• Experience of project management.
  
• Experience working with a School MIS System (iSAMS/SIMS).
  
• Ability to write reports for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  
• Previously worked within the Education Sector.
  

 

Hours :

 

8:30am - 5:00pm (term time), 9:00am - 4:00pm (non-term time)
