O365 Exchange Online how has it handled Ransomware virus

I'm currently protecting my Exchange Server infrastructure using Barracuda however I will shortly be migrating email to O365. Can I ask if EoL has protected users from the Ransomware virus which is rife at the moment? Did messages containing the virus manage to get through the Exchange Online Protection (EoP)

you can filter out a lot of stuff on the backend with exchange online, my organisation filters all exes and any files that can be executed also using it at the moment.

 

It does help to educate staff about attachments too
