Sharepoint VLE

Hi Guys,

 

 

Please anyone using Sharepoint as their VLE?

 

At the moment we use Sharepoint as our VLE but the problem is unlike frog with sharepoint the students can't access their document from home.They have to copy it and put it on one drive.

 

 

Please is it possible to make the students access their documents from home when using sharepoint VLE?

I think there's quite a lot to configure, at the very least DNS and static routes on the router (that you may or may not have control over). There's also huge security implications if you use Sharepoint for things other than a VLE. It would be very easy to open up your HR records to the world, especially on unpatched systems. Sharepoint may not make a great VLE anyway, it lacks many of the features that proper VLEs come with.
