I have a single machine out of a handful with specific folder redirection for their desktops that redirects to a folder in their user share.

All working fine bar one.

If you navigate to the machines file explorer and click on the "desktop" library icon it shows the redirected folder as expected, however the physical desktop itself is being redirected to a different location. The same folder in the users area but via a DFS link. DFS is implemented but not set for these specific handful of users.

If I RSOP its showing the correct folder redirection settings being applied (non dfs). So, the question is, where has this machine found a dfs link to redirect to and how can I stop it?

If you right click on the desktop folder and select properties its location is shown as the DFS but there are no "move" buttons that would normally be expected.

Anyone got any ideas?
