Windows Authentication Issue

I have an internally hosted IIS website which uses Integrated Windows Authentication only

 

In Internet explorer on Windows 10 Anniversary edition the website works fine - when you open the link it automatically logs in the user.

 

However, having updated to Windows 10 Creators edition, it no longer works - in the browser users are prompted for credentials, but logging in just re-pops up the authentication window.

 

I have 2 VMs each on the 2 different versions and can replicate the issue.

I have added the URL to 'local intranet' security options and changed the setting to 'automatically logon with current username and password' however this doesn't work

 

The only way i can get it to work is by changing the automatic logon in the 'internet' zone.
