bewlay51 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) We have a number of Lynx 2in1 tablets. I have a strong feeling these have been upgraded to Windows 10 Educational version. Big issue - if any of our students or staff try and login they get the message "Username or password incorrect" - domain administrator seems ok. There seems to be no way around it. Having a look around the internet it says that this can be caused if the OS has been upgraded from Home to Pro or Educational - suggestion is run a fix or a re-install !! I understand there is a fix for this - KB3197954 - this wouldn't work on the version of Windows 10 on the Lynx tablet. This is taken from this support document - click here Has anyone seen this issue and is there an easy fix ?? Edited April 20, 2017 by bewlay51
mavhc Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 First thing I'd try to remove and re-add to domain. What's the problem with reinstalling Windows 10? 1
bewlay51 Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 Thanks for the reply - I will give that ago - we have 32 of these devices and no media. They were supplied via a third party without any consultation, a bargin as seen by SLT.
mavhc Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Do they have USB, if so, and Windows 10 has digital activation, you can just make a USB Win 10 installer. I've convinced people here that I'll be the one doing the bargain hunting
Darlene Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 On the sign-in screen, there is a "Ease of Access" button at the bottom right corner. Click that button and use the on-screen keyboard to type in your password. This can get around some issues in case your keyboard layout was changed or the NumLock feature was turned on.
