ollyyllo Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Good News. The Group policy to disable the Lock Screen will now work again for Windows 10 Pro, the change is in place for the Insider Preview Build 16179 https://betanews.com/2017/04/19/microsoft-releases-windows-10-redstone-3-build-16179/ The existing Group Policy to disable the lock screen is now available for those on the Pro edition of Windows 10. Note, the Group Policy text has not yet been updated to incorporate this change, that will happen with a later flight. Microsoft do listen to our feedback!
karldenton Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Great stuff. I'm sick of the random backgrounds you get at the moment on pro
ollyyllo Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) Ok, so looks like we don't have to wait for Redstone 3 to be released The lock screen GPO works now for Windows Pro on the Creators update - OS Build 15063.250 https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/4016240 Addressed issue that prevents the lock screen from being disabled using Group Policy on Professional SKUs. Just tested it and seems to be working as it did before. Edited June 30, 2017 by ollyyllo
karldenton Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Nice one. Is the setting the one in Comp Conf - policies - admin templates - control panel - personalisation and enable the "Do not display lock screen"
